The SalivaScreenTest determines the acid formation capacity of all bacteria in the oral cavity.

Scientific studies have shown that it is a valid method to determine the risk of caries or the caries activity of a patient within 60 minutes. The SalivaScreenTest in conjunction with the KariesScreenTest are the basic building blocks of a diagnosis-based individual prophylaxis.

The SalivaScreenTest determines the acidogenic phase in the oral biotope – i.e. the acid formation capacity of all acid formers present in the oral cavity.

The KariesScreenTest provides information on the extent to which the acidogenic phase has changed into an acidic one – i.e. an accumulation of stepctooccus mutans and lactobacilli has taken place.

Both information is important diagnostic information for carrying out a diagnosis-based individual prophylaxis.
